PRESENTATION TOPIC

"Parametric Insurance Strategies - An Innovative Approach to Accessing Risk Capital"

The presentation will provide a broad overview of parametric insurance, with a focus on identifying ways parametric programs can be used to increase overall resiliency to catastrophe driven losses. It will start with a brief introduction on parametric insurance, addressing key questions such as: What is parametric insurance? How does it function? When is it applied? And why is it used? We’ll then explore how parametric insurance can be successfully integrated into a larger risk financing strategy, finishing the discussion with a summary of the current state of the parametric market, case studies, and a Q&A.
