Airport:

Rental Car:
All major rental agencies are represented at Vancouver International Airport — most are on-site.  A rental car will only be necessary if you plan to travel outside downtown Vancouver.

Shuttle:
There are many Airport shuttles available which cost C$14 per person each way. Travel time to the Coast Plaza Hotel is about 40 minutes. 

Taxi:
Taxi service is available at the airport. Typical fare to Coast Plaza Hotel is C$35. Travel time to the Coast Plaza is about 25 minutes. 

 
Weather/Climate:
Average temperatures in Vancouver in October in Fahrenheit range between highs of 56 degrees and lows of 42 degrees.  Being on the coast, it may rain however on average October is one of the drier months of the fall. 

Dress/Attire:
Attire at the conference is business casual. Meeting room temperatures do vary. We will do our best to make our meeting rooms as comfortable as possible, but please be sure to bring along a sweater just in case.   A dinner cruise on the Burrard Queen is scheduled for the Thursday evening meal.  Temperatures on the water are definitely cooler in the evenings and a jacket is recommended.

Stanley Park
Stanley Park is recognized around the globe as one of the great parks of the world and it is just a short walk from your hotel. Thursday October 4th, Dinner Boat Cruise
The "MV Burrard Queen" is 90' in Length and 40' wide with 9’ ceilings, with a capacity of 220 passengers with both upper and lower deck providing a 360-degree viewing range she is the ultimate for sightseeing. Equipped with two buffets, surround sound system, commercial gallery and fully licensed bar. Her stability will provide a smooth enjoyable cruise, join us on the upper deck and let the wind blow through your hair. Busses will pick up conference registrants at 6:00 precisely from the Coast Plaza Hotel and take you to Granville Island to board the Burrard Queen at 6:30 pm.  After a dinner buffet and three hour cruise, the Burrard Queen will dock back at Granville Island at 9:30 pm.  Busses will take you back to the hotel by 10 pm.
